I am writing my first blog today (not even sure what the word blog means). Why you ask? Does the internet really need another blog? I hated writing papers in school! Why would I do this voluntarily? That is a great question. The answer is: I love marriage and family ministry.
It is my goal to write about all the things that you and I deal with on a day-to-day basis in a real and honest way. Please understand I am not an expert at these issues either. My marriage is not perfect, though Amy is pretty close. My kids are not angels, but I love them all. I have made mistakes as a husband and a father. There have been days I have failed them and God, but I am working on it. So let's just agree that we will work on those things together.
I will search the Word of God and trustworthy books and a little of my own experiences to hopefully bring you something you find valuable enough to consider trying in your home. I will make you a promise: this blog will be short and to the point and with useful information that is mildly entertaining. This whole blog thing may be like watching a train wreck in slow motion. We will see.
